Hello ladies,

With just over seven weeks to go until Christmas, we’re officially on the countdown to the big day. Here are a couple of pointers for ways to make your gift stand out this year - all it takes is a little forethought:

1. For the person who has everything, an experience with a difference is a great way to go. For her, an afternoon or day of indulgence – think expert hair and beauty treatments, or a luxurious massage and facial session – is the perfect excuse for her to take a well deserved ‘time out’. For him, tickets to a well-picked sporting event or concert will show you’ve put some real thought into your gift, and will give him something to look forward to in the dark days after Christmas! ‘Thinking outside the box’ when it comes to your choice will help you hit the right note.

2. If you want to make a gift truly memorable, personalisation is an ideal option. There’s a vast array of items that can be personalised these days, from monogramming cashmere pieces to embossing luxury leather goods... even sunglasses! Babies look adorable in personalised outfits (especially if they’re Christmas themed!), and they last as cute keepsakes for the years to come. With many companies now offering to personalise items within a week, there’s still time, but make sure you don’t leave it too long...

For corporate gifting this season, there are some really clever ways to take a gift beyond the impersonal. A fantastic example is TJK London’s money cracker - it’s a sure-fire way to bring a smile to an employee’s face this December. A sterling silver and glass ‘cracker’ containing a cheque, bank notes, or even tickets and vouchers, it makes a fun and thoughtful corporate statement, and can also be personalised. What better way could there be to receive a Christmas ‘bonus’ than with this bespoke treat?
